dc.description.abstract | Medan City is one of Indonesia's metropolitan cities with rapid
economic growth and has great potential to continue expanding,
particularly in the tourism and hospitality industries. Along with the
rapid growth of the tourism sector, in Medan City, the need for new
hotel concepts, such as budget hotels, is increasingly important to
attract tourists and create new markets. The hotel's main target
market includes visitors from Market Center, Pirngadi Hospital,
Nomensen University, and UINSU Postgraduate, who spend much
time outside the hotel and only need lodging accommodation,
breakfast, and work support facilities. They prefer budget hotels that
are more affordable than more expensive star hotels. This research
uses data collection techniques (primary data and secondary data)
and data analysis techniques. The design of the budget hotel on
Jalan Prof. H. M. Yamin uses green architecture principles to
answer climate challenges, through the arrangement of natural
ventilation, the use of environmentally friendly materials, and the use
of renewable energy. | en_US |
