dc.description.abstractPT Intrafood Singabera Indonesia faces challenges in managing its ginger raw material inventory due to the use of conventional inventory control methods. Throughout 2023, the company recorded 107 procurement activities and experienced an excess inventory of 115,550 kg, leading to high storage costs and operational inefficiencies. This study focuses on designing an inventory planning system for ginger raw materials using the Continuous Review System (CRS) method, based on projected demand for 2024. The implementation of CRS, with an optimal order quantity (Q) of 36,562 kg, a reorder point (ROP) of 9,916 kg, and a safety stock of 1,953 kg, successfully reduced the total inventory cost from Rp 43.995.000 to Rp 12.893.515, while also decreasing the order frequency to 32 times. Demand forecasting for ginger raw materials in 2024 was conducted using the linear regression method, identified as the best-performing model. The projected demand reached 1,472,210 kg, representing an increase of approximately 27% compared to the previous year. Based on this forecast, the CRS simulation for 2024 resulted in updated parameters of Q = 40,832 kg, ROP = 11,747 kg, and safety stock = 1,588 kg. The total estimated inventory cost was Rp 14.340.278, with an ordering frequency of 36 times—an increase of only around 11% despite the substantial rise in demand. To ensure the practical applicability of CRS, this study assumes collaboration with farmer associations equipped with cold storage facilities, allowing the company to place periodic orders without absorbing the entire harvest at once. The CRS method proves to be an effective and efficient strategy for sustainable inventory control.en_US
