Pelajaran dari Pengelolaan Mangrove Berbasis Masyarakat di Kelompok Tani Hutan Penghijauan Maju Bersama Desa Pasar Rawa Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

The Forest Farmers Group of Penghijauan Maju Bersama (KTH PMB) is one example of a community initiative in an effort to preserve mangroves based on the community. Their existence shows the potential for community involvement in sustainable coastal resource management. The purpose of this study was to determine the best community-based mangrove management priorities using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and to analyze lessons learned from community-based mangrove management in KTH PMB. The methods used included interviews, observations, and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results of the study Determining the best community-based mangrove management priorities in KTH PMB using the AHP method obtained results, namely a multistakeholder approach with a weight (0.295) as an alternative priority. The lesson learned is that KTH PMB is one example of a community initiative in an effort to preserve mangroves, the key factor in the success of management carried out by KTH PMB is the awareness and ability of group members to maintain mangrove sustainability which is carried out by increasing the capacity of each group member, increasing capacity carried out through various training programs and outreach schools provided by stakeholders who have helped to support the achievement of 3 important aspects of management, namely ecology, economy, and social
