    Abstract
The 2022 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) revealed that Indonesian students demonstrate low scores in emotional control. One influential factor in emotional control is parental involvement. This quantitative study aims to explore the role of parental involvement in shaping emotional control among students in Indonesia, utilizing secondary data from the 2022 PISA Student Questionnaire, with a sample of 13,439 students aged 15 to 16 years. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The results from the regression analysis indicated F(1, 13,437) = 11.369, p < 0.001, R² = 0.001. This suggests that parental involvement has a statistically significant impact on students' emotional control. The regression coefficient results further demonstrate that parental involvement positively and significantly predicts emotional control, with B = 0.021, β = 0.029, t(13,437) = 3.37, p < 0.001. Based on these findings, the research hypothesis is accepted. The R² value of 0.001 reveals that parental involvement accounts for only 0.1% of the variance in students' emotional control, indicating that 99.9% of this control is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Despite the small effect size, this finding emphasizes the importance of parental involvement as a contributing factor to emotional control. Consequently, a more comprehensive, multifactorial approach is essential to optimally support the development of emotional control among students.
