Analisis Pengaruh Keterbukaan Perdagangan, Investasi Asing Langsung dan Pengeluaran Pemerintah Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di 5 Negara ASEAN Periode 2014-2023

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of trade openness, foreign direct investment and government spending on economic growth in 5 ASEAN countries for the period 2014-2023. This type of research is quantitative research using secondary data obtained from the official World Bank website. The object of research is ASEAN countries which include Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand. The analysis technique used is panel data regression with testing using Eviews 12 and the selected model is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results of this study indicate that partially foreign direct investment has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in 5 ASEAN countries. On the other hand, government spending has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in 5 ASEAN countries. Trade openness has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on economic growth in 5 ASEAN countries. Simultaneously, trade openness, foreign direct investment and government spending have a significant effect on economic growth in 5 ASEAN countries for the period 2014-2023.
