Analisis Usaha Tani Padi dan Jagung di Kelurahan Bhakti Karya (Studi Kasus : Usahatani Padi dan Jagung di Kelurahan Bhakti Karya, Kecamatan Binjai Selatan, Kota Binjai)

Abstract

Frederick Ginting (190304090) with the thesis title is "Analysis of Rice and Corn Farming Business in Kelurahan Bhakti Karya (Case Study: Rice and Corn Farming Business in Kelurahan Bhakti Karya, Kecamatan Binjai Selatan, Kota Binjai". Supervised by Bapak. Ir. M. Jufri M.Si as a Chairman of the Advisory. This study aims to analyze rice and corn farming efforts within a one-year period to determine the most profitable types of crops for farmers in Bhakti Karya. The research method used is a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Sampling was conducted using a census method involving 15 farmers who cultivated rice and corn crops over a period of one year (2024). The results showed that each commodity has different levels of production costs, revenues, and profits. The average area of rice fields in this study is 1,320 m2, the average expenditure (cost) is IDR 1,566,867, the average revenue is IDR 3,704,800 and the average profit is IDR 2,137,933. The average area of corn fields in this study is 3940 m2, the average expenditure (cost) for 2 plantings is IDR 9,403,167, the average revenue is IDR 18,798,500 and the average profit is IDR 13,364,833. Based on the analysis, corn farming proved to be more profitable than rice farming.
