dc.description.abstractPavement is one of the critical elements in transportation infrastructure that affects comfort, safety, and traffic efficiency. To improve the quality and durability of road pavements, this research aims to evaluate the compressive strength and flexural strength of composites made from Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) mortar with porous asphalt gravel based on styrofoam, crumb rubber, and CR-styrofoam. The study used fly ash and palm shell ash as partial substitutes for cement in the ECC mortar. The research method employed was experimental, involving the fabrication of cube and beam specimens, which were tested at 3-day and 7-day curing ages.The results showed that the addition of crumb rubber improved the compressive strength of the composites, reaching 6.89 MPa at 3 days and 7.93 MPa at 7 days, while the addition of styrofoam tended to reduce the compressive strength. The flexural strength of the porous asphalt gravel composite at 3 days showed the best results with crumb rubber, with an average flexural strength of 1.63 MPa, while the styrofoam mixture produced the lowest value. At 7 days, the porous asphalt gravel composite with crumb rubber still showed the best performance, with an average flexural strength of 1.88 MPa. The tensile and strain testing showed that pure asphalt gravel had a maximum stress of 1.94 MPa with a strain of 6.43%, while the addition of crumb rubber resulted in higher stress but lower strain, indicating increased rigidity. The addition of styrofoam increased the material’s flexibility, although it reduced compressive and flexural strength.en_US
