dc.description.abstract | The design of Wisma Kolaborasi Building in Medan City, Located at Jl. Teuku Cik
Ditiro I C/49, Medan Polonia, the Wisma Kolaborasi building is designed as a
multifunctional space that supports collaborative activities among urban
communities. This five-story building includes various facilities such as a food
court, gym, co-working space, multipurpose hall, and the PKK office. The design is
based on the need for public spaces that encourage social interaction, creativity,
and community services. The planning process involved adherence to city planning
regulations (KRK), site surveys, observation, literature reviews, and comparative
studies of similar projects. The building adopts a green architecture approach as a
form of environmental responsibility. Strategies implemented include the use of
natural lighting and ventilation, environmentally friendly materials, vegetative
elements on the facade, and rainwater management. This approach enhances
energy efficiency, user comfort, and supports adaptation to Medan's tropical
climate. The building's design is inspired by the shape of a leaf, symbolizing growth,
harmony with nature, and the spirit of collaboration. This concept is manifested
through the curved facade and organic structural elements. By integrating function,
sustainability principles, and aesthetic form, Wisma Kolaborasi is envisioned to
become an inspiring urban architectural icon that supports the development of a
more sustainable city. | en_US |
