Ketentuan terhadap Penyalahgunaan Artificial Intelligence Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 2024 tentang Perubahan Kedua Atas Undangundang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik

Abstract

This research explains the legal provisions regarding artificial intelligence (AI) based on Law Number 1 Year 2024 which amends Law Number 11 Year 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions. With the development of technology, AI is used in various cybercrimes, such as fraud and data falsification. The method used is normative juridical, focusing on analyzing relevant regulations. The results show that although the ITE Law provides a legal framework, there are still legal loopholes, and AI is not recognized as a legal subject, so the responsibility is entirely on individuals or legal entities. The research recommends updating the law and increasing the capacity of law enforcement, as well as international cooperation to address cybercrime across borders. These measures are expected to increase Indonesia's effectiveness in countering the challenges of cybercrime.
