    Abstract
Blood viscosity is an important parameter in the blood circulation system that can affect cardiovascular health. Conventional blood viscosity measurement requires expensive and non-portable laboratory equipment. Therefore, this study aims to design and build a blood viscosity measuring instrument using a MAX30102 photoplethysmograph (PPG) sensor that is able to measure blood oxygen levels (SpO2) and heart rate (BPM), as well as estimate blood viscosity non-invasively and based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Data obtained from the sensor is sent in real-time to the IoT platform via the App Inventor application for remote monitoring. The blood viscosity estimation process is carried out by analyzing the characteristics of the PPG signal obtained, such as the amplitude and rise/fall time of the signal, The test results show that this tool is able to provide an estimate of blood viscosity of (average deviation ±2%) which have a correlation with blood viscosity. The test results show that this tool is able to provide blood viscosity estimates with an acceptable level of accuracy for initial health monitoring. This system is expected to be an alternative solution for early detection of blood circulation disorders in a practical, economical and easily accessible manner.
