dc.description.abstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of tin (Sn) addition and compaction pressure variation on the mechanical properties of CuNiMn alloys synthesized using powder metallurgy method. Cu, Ni, Mn, and Sn powders were mixed with Sn addition of 0.5 wt.% and 1.5 wt.%, then compacted at a temperature of 150°C with a pressure of 250 MPa and 290 MPa, and sintered at 900°C for 1 hour. Tests were carried out on density, hardness, wear rate, friction coefficient, microstructure, and elemental mapping (EDS). The results showed that the specimen with 1.5 wt.% Sn and a pressure of 290 MPa (V4) had the best performance, with the highest hardness of 23.8 VHN and the lowest wear rate of 4.54 × 10⁻⁷ mm³/Nmm. The intermetallic phase Cu₆Sn₅ was detected as a reinforcing factor, and high compaction pressure was shown to decrease porosity and increase homogeneity. Taguchi analysis showed that the addition of Sn (Δ = 3.42) was more dominant than the compaction pressure (Δ = 1.82) in increasing hardness. Thus, the CuNiMn-Sn alloy with this configuration has the potential as a candidate for wear-resistant bushing materialen_US
