Education serves as a platform for the younger generation to explore their potential, especially for students currently enrolled in college. Students with good health is likely to have a positive impact on their productivity and performance in receiving learning. Universities are responsible for students' welfare by providing various facilities, including health services that can address health issues that arise during studying. Universitas Sumatera Utara has offered health services to the entire university community since 1988 through the USU Policlinic. USU Policlinic provides a range of health services, from general health consultations to counseling, most of which are available free of charge. However, based on the average number of visits to the USU Policlinic for health checks, there were only 413 visits per month in 2024. This study aims to identify factors related to the utilization of USU Policlinic, by Universitas Sumatera Utara students. A cross sectional study design employing quantitative methods was utilised and involved 100 undergraduate students from Universitas Sumatera Utara, selected through purposive sampling from the 2022 and 2023 intakes. Data analysis in this study used the chi-square test, revealing a notable relationship between knowledge variables (p-value= 0.0001), environmental support (p-value= 0.0001), information (p-value= 0.004), illness perception (p-value= 0.0001), and health status (p-value= 0.004) and the utilization of USU Policlinic. The findings indicated that only 28% of Universitas Sumatera Utara students utilized USU Policlinic. It is hoped that USU Policlinic will promote the services available, especially to the students of Universitas Sumatera Utara so they can take advantage of existing facilities and improve their health status, which will positively impact student productivity while studying.en_US
