    Abstract
The temperature increase in floating photovoltaics (FPV) leads to a decrease in PV efficiency. Several studies have proposed the performance of passive thermosiphon cooling systems, including the performance of natural convection cooling loops in relation to the height of the coolant reservoir. However, to date, no studies have examined the performance of natural convection cooling loops in relation to the height of the heat-absorbing aluminum. The purpose of this research is to determine the performance of a natural convection cooling loop with respect to the height of the heat-absorbing aluminum. Experimental results show that the heat-absorbing aluminum (FPV) positioned 40 cm above the water surface achieved a higher average electrical efficiency of 26.99%, compared to the floating solar panel at 23.99%. Lower heat release from the PV results in a lower PV temperature. The heat transfer occurring in the solar panel cooler using the thermosiphon method on the floating solar panel is 728.274 J/s and 469.84 J/s. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a fluid dynamics calculation method that offers the most efficient way, in terms of time and cost, to simulate real-life fluid flow events, as it can be determined through numerical solutions of governing equations
