dc.description.abstractThis study aims to understand how the phenomenon of fear of missing out (FOMO) influences the purchasing decisions of individuals regarding Sheila on 7 concert tickets in Medan City. A quantitative research methodology was employed, with data collected through surveys or questionnaires distributed to individuals who purchased tickets for the Sheila on 7 concert in Medan. The theoretical framework used to analyze the data includes the positivist paradigm, intrapersonal communication, sociopsychological tradition theory, the concept of fear of missing out, and purchase decisions. The findings of this study indicate that the majority of individuals who purchased tickets for the Sheila on 7 concert in Medan experienced the phenomenon of FOMO, which influenced their purchasing decisions. FOMO was driven by factors such as anxiety, fear, and concerns about feeling left out if they did not attend the concert.en_US
