Lube Base Oil HVI-60 is one of the basic lubricant materials that is widely used in the automotive and manufacturing industries. The quality of Lube Base Oil is highly dependent on the physical and chemical specifications that must meet national and international standards. PT. Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU-IV Cilacap, as one of the producers of Lube Base Oil in Indonesia, has its product specifications that need to be validated. This test aims to test the specifications of Lube Base Oil HVI-60 produced by PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU-IV Cilacap and compare them with the specification standards set by the company, relevant SNI, and previous research results. Testing was carried out on 9 general parameters, including: Appearance, Color ASTM, Flash Point PMcc, Pour Point, Viscosity Kinematic at 40°C and 100˚C, Viscosity Index, Total Acid Number and Density at 15˚C. We conducted the testing using the American Society For Testing And Materials (ASTM) method. The test results indicated that the sample met the specified specification standards. The appearance tests showed that the sample was clear and bright, had a color rating of ASTM L0.5, a flash point of 226 PMcc, a pour point of -15˚C, kinematic viscosity of 24.43 cst at 40˚C and 4.586 cst at 100˚C, a viscosity index of 102, a total acid number of 0.04 mgKOH/g, and a density of 867.7 kg/m3 at 15˚C. From the results of the Lube Base Oil HVI–60 specification test produced by PT. Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU – IV Cilacap has met the quality standards based on the ASTM method, company specifications, relevant SNI standards, and previous research. This product is worthy of being marketed and used as a high-quality lubricant raw material for various industrial and manufacturing applications.
