Nilai Ekonomi dan Faktor Produksi Aren (Arenga pinnata) di Desa Buluh Awar Kecamatan Sibolangit Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Palm (Arenga pinnata) is one of the natural resources in the tropics and is very easy to obtain and widely used by the local community as a sustainable resource. The people in Buluh Awar Village, Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang Regency, have not yet known information about the economic value of palm plants and the amount of sap production. So far, they have only tapped palm sap and then processed it into palm sugar, alcoholic beverages and taken palm oil. They never calculate the economic value of palm plants and their production. Based on this thought, it is necessary to conduct research on the economic value of palm plants and the productivity of palm sap (Arenga pinnata) in Buluh Awar Village. This study aims to analyze the economic value of palm plants and factors that affect sap production in Buluh Awar Village, Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang Regency. The methods used in this study are observation, interview, purposive sampling questionnaire. The results of the study show that the economic value of palm plants produced by palm farmers in Buluh Awar Village, Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang Regency is Rp.1,592,592,000,-/year. Factors such as tree height, tree age, labor, tree liquor to river and tree diameter have a significant effect on sap production
