Pengembangan Early Warning System Berbasis Threshold Suhu Untuk Mendeteksi Kebakaran Lahan Kebun Sawit
Development of an Early Warning System Based on Temperature Threshold to Detect Land Fires in Ool Palm Plantations
Abstract
Fire is one of the serious problems, which often occurs in oil palm
plantation areas, especially in tropical areas such as Indonesia. In addition to
causing great economic losses for plantations, land fires also have a major impact
on the environment such as air pollution, loss of biodiversity and public health
problems due to haze. Therefore, effective efforts are needed to minimize the risk of
fire, one of which is through an early warning system. The development of an early
warning system based on temperature thresholds aims to quickly and accurately
detect potential fires before they spread. This system can be integrated with a
geographic information system ( SIG ), sensor Internet of Things (IoT). From the
results of monitoring or observation, a climate information system and also a
threshold-based early warning system can be designed and distributed to users.
One of the sensors that is very sensitive to smoke is the MQ-2 sensor, this sensor is
able to detect gas from combustion, so that smoke in the air from the combustion
can be carried as an analog voltage. The Infra Red sensor on the Flame Sensor
module can read wavelengths with a wavelength range of 760 nm-1100 nm. This
sensor has the characteristics of high output voltage when there is no fire and low
output when there is fire with a low wavelength. This sensor can detect infrared
waves emitted by fire, so the sensor can be used as a fire detector.
