This research aims to describe the text, co-text, context and implementation of the Temokan tradition in Javanese society. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that there are 10 implementations, namely gantalan sadak, wiji dadi, wiji suku, sindur binayang, pangkon timbang, tanduring bride, kacar kucur, dahar kembul, martuwi and sungkeman and 10 texts and 8 types of objects that are classified into the Temokan customary co-text, and co-text elements in the Temokan custom in Javanese weddings, related to material elements (objects), distance and gestures. The context of the Temokan custom is in the form of ideological, social, cultural, and situational contexts. The performance of Temokan oral tradition is not only an aesthetic ritual, but also an expression of complex cultural values, functioning as a link between spirituality, sociality, and Javanese cultural identity. This research can inspire the development of cultural activities that educate people about the importance of preserving traditions through various programs such as workshops, cultural festivals, or seminars that focus on the role of temokan traditions in people's lives.
