Design of A Web Based Management Information System to Support Efficiency in Stock and Production Management at RM Hj Hayati
Abstract
Effective stock and production management is essential in running a culinary
business, especially to improve operational efficiency and accuracy. However, many
small and medium-sized enterprises still rely on manual methods, making them prone
to data entry errors and delays in information. This study aims to design and develop
a web-based management information system to assist in digitalizing stock and
production management processes. The case study was conducted at Rumah Makan
Hj. Hayati, which previously managed all data manually. The research applied a
descriptive approach using the Waterfall system development model, consisting of
requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation stages.
The system was developed using PHP programming language and MySQL database,
with a simple user interface designed to be easily operated by non-technical users. The
implementation results show that the system functions well, provides access according
to user roles (admin and staff), and supports faster, more efficient, and accurate
operational data recording and monitoring. User evaluation indicated that the system
has met the operational needs and can be used directly in daily activities without
significant issues.
