dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the role of grit on job satisfaction of vocational high
school teachers in Medan City. Grit is defined as a person's ability to persist in achieving long-term goals by showing consistency of interest and perseverance in business despite challenges and failures. Job satisfaction is defined as a person's positive feelings towards their work. This study uses a simple linear regression quantitative design. In this study, the number of respondents used was 256 people with a cluster sampling technique. The data collected used a grit scale compiled by the research team of the Faculty of Psychology, University of North Sumatra (2024) and a scale of teacher job satisfaction constructed by Fahmi (2016). The results showed a positive and significant role of grit on teacher job satisfaction of 0.000 (p<0.05) and a coefficient of determination of 0.282%, the value of job satisfaction has an influence on teacher grit. The higher the teacher's grit, the higher the teacher's job satisfaction. This study confirms that grit can be an important factor in increasing teacher job satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the quality of education. | en_US |
