    Abstract
The Hijau Lestari women farmers group is a program developed by the government to increase the capacity of rural women and their families as subjects of development in order to achieve prosperity. If the Hijau Lestari Women Farmers' Group develops well, it will become one of the sources of income for the families of group members and the village. Therefore, this study aims to identify and analyze the impact of the Hijau Lestari Women Farmers' Group on improving the welfare of the families of group members in the village of Jati Kesuma, Deli Serdang District. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data obtained in the field is then analyzed to draw conclusions from the research results. The conclusion drawn from the research results is that, based on the family welfare indicators according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Hijau Lestari women farmers' group does not have an impact on family welfare beyond other social indicators related to tourism. The Hijau Lestari women farmers' group does not have an impact on indicators related to health and nutrition, education, consumption levels and patterns, and poverty. The Hijau Lestari women farmers' group had no impact on indicators of health and nutrition, education, consumption levels and patterns, and poverty. The Hijau Lestari women farmers' group also had no impact on other social indicators relating to crime and access to information technology, but it did have a positive impact on tourism by fostering a strong sense of community and social cohesion. The factors hindering the Hijau Lestari women farmers' group from improving family welfare are the lack of systematic administration and the lack of member activity. In addition to the Hijau Lestari women farmers' group, other factors outside the group include criminal activities such as theft, which still frequently occur and hinder the group's development, insufficient land in backyard gardens and demonstration plots, limited use of modern technology, and the influence of seasonal weather conditions.
