Efektivitas Artificial Intelligence (AI) melalui Mobil Perintis Presisi Samapta dalam Meningkatkan Public Security Di Kota Medan

Abstract

Perintis Presisi Samapta Car is a method or tool to support Polrestabes Medan to do public services such patrols using innovation which is an advanced technology called Artificial Intelligence. amidst the increasing crime rate in the city of Medan, this car is expected to be a solution to improve public security. Some of problems identified that the crime rate in Medan is still high even after this car was launched, the resources expended are not comparable to the output that obtained, there is no socialization so the community is not satisfied, lack of the capability of police officers in using AI, difficult access to narrow street and limited units considering how big city of Medan. This research aims to describe the Effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through the Perintis Presisi Samapta Car in improving Public Security in Medan City. The theory used in this research is effectiveness by Gibson, Ivancevich, Donnelly and Konopaske (2003) as an analysis tool, with indicators of productivity, efficiency, satisfaction, adaptation and innovation development. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this research shows that the Perintis Presisi Samapta Car has been productive in carrying out patrols, but the results have not been productive because the crime rate in Medan City still high even after the presence of this car. On the efficiency side shows that resources expended are not comparable to the output. On the side of satisfaction, most people are dissatisfied because there has been no socialization and the officers feel satisfied because it can help them in carrying out their duties.On the adaptation and development side, there is no ongoing training and evaluation regarding AI in this car and there is no innovation development yet, lack of access to narrow street, and limited of units. In conclusion, Artificial Intelligence (AI) through the Perintis Presisi Samapta Car in improving public security is still not effective. This is because some of the problems faced until now have not been resolved properly. Therefore, solutions are needed to handle these problems.
