dc.description.abstractDisproportionated rosin (DPR) is rosin that undergoes a catalytic reaction to remove conjugated double bonds and thus increases its stability. Due to its low brittleness, high thermal stability, good oxidation resistance and bright color, DPR is widely used as an additive in the production of butadiene rubber and chloroprene. The pre-designed disproportionated rosin manufacturing plant from pine resin raw materials is designed with a production capacity of 15,000 tons/year and operates for 330 days a year. The production process uses five stages, namely: raw material preparation, separation and purification of raw materials, disproportionation reaction, separation and purification of products, and turpentine recycling. The factory is planned to be located in the Kendal Special Economic Zone, Kendal Regency, Central Java with a land area of 15,379 m2. The workforce required is 150 people with the factory's business entity form being a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational structure. The results of the economic evaluation show that the investment capital (CI) is Rp2,438,163,177,847, the total production cost is Rp1,598,614,589,889 and the sales profit is Rp554,107,615,623 with a net profit of Rp410,593,743,177. This factory is projected to reach the break-even point (BEP) at 44.45% capacity with a return on investment (POT) of 5 years and 11 months. Based on the results of the economic analysis, the preliminary design of this factory is considered feasible to be established.en_US
