Analisis Peran Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Asosiasi Perempuan Indonesia untuk Keadilan (Lbh Apik) Medan pada Perempuan Korban Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga (Kdrt)

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of the Legal Aid Institute of the Indonesian Women's Association for Justice (LBH APIK) Medan in providing legal protection to women victims of domestic violence. With the increasing cases of domestic violence in Indonesia, especially in North Sumatra, LBH APIK Medan plays an important role in providing legal aid and advocacy services for women who are often hampered by various social, economic and cultural factors. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, which involves in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that LBH APIK Medan not only provides legal aid, but also conducts advocacy to raise public awareness about women's rights. In addition, the research identified various obstacles faced by LBH APIK in carrying out its roles, including limited human resources and social stigma that prevents victims from reporting. This research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the procedures for providing legal aid, the effectiveness of the services provided, and recommendations for improving legal protection for women victims of domestic violence. In doing so, LBH APIK Medan have a role to creating a safer and fairer environment for women.
