Design and Development of a Height and Temperature Measurement Device Using HC-SR04 and GY-906 Sensors Based on the Internet of Things (IoT)
Abstract
The advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has enabled the integration of smart devices to support human activities in a more automated and efficient manner. This study focuses on designing a height and body temperature measurement device based on IoT, utilizing the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and the GY-906 infrared sensor, with an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller. The measurement data is transmitted and displayed in real-time via the Blynk application over an internet connection. The system is intended to allow users to independently monitor their physical condition in a practical and efficient way. Based on testing with five subjects, the device demonstrated high measurement accuracy, with error rates ranging from 0% to 0.33% for height and 0.02% to 1.16% for temperature compared to conventional measuring instruments. These results indicate that the developed device offers reliable precision and can serve as an effective alternative for integrated digital measurement systems.
