Perancangan User Interface dan User Experience Aplikasi Sistem Penerimaan Murid Baru di Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kabupaten Dairi Berbasis Mobile (SPMB Dairi)

Abstract

The process of accepting new students is one of the crucial stages in the education system that affects the quality and quantity of students in an institution. In Dairi Regency, the process of accepting new students still faces various challenges, such as the lack of transparency of information and difficulties in accessing registration data by prospective students and parents. This study aims to design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the "SPMB Dairi" mobile application used by the Dairi Regency Communication and Information Office for registering new students in Dairi Regency. This study uses the Design Thinking method consisting of the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The expected result is a mobile application with a user-friendly interface and optimal user experience, which is able to simplify the registration process for accepting new students in Dairi Regency. This application has succeeded in providing a digital solution that simplifies the process of registering new students and facilitates the selection process by schools or related offices.
