Design of a School Digital Service Website with Information Chatbot and Student Complaint Features at SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli
Abstract
This study discusses the design and development of a web-based student information and complaint service system at SMKN 1 Gunungsitoli. The system is designed to help students easily access school information, submit complaints, and provide suggestions or feedback efficiently. One of its key features is a chatbot based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) that can automatically respond to student questions about school-related information. In addition, students can submit complaints with image or video evidence, either anonymously or using their identity. Admins are responsible for verifying complaints, providing responses, and managing user data and feedback. The system was developed using PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap, and chatbot integration with Python and Flask. Testing results show that the system works effectively and supports fast, transparent, and well-documented two-way communication between students and the school.
