Pengaruh Financial Understanding, Financial Self-Efficacy, dan Emotional Intelligence Terhadap Financial Management Behavior (Studi Kasus: Mahasiswa Sarjana Universitas Sumatera Utara Luar Daerah di Kecamatan Medan Selayang)

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Financial Understanding, Financial Self-Efficacy, and Emotional Intelligence on the Financial Management Behavior of out-of-town students from the University of North Sumatra who reside in the Medan Selayang sub-district. The population of this study consists of undergraduate students from the University of North Sumatra who come from outside the region and currently live or board temporarily in Medan Selayang to pursue their education. The sample size in this study is 97 students from outside the region, selected using an unknown population sampling technique due to the inability to determine the exact population size based on the respondent criteria. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to these students. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that Financial Understanding does not have a significant effect on Financial Management Behavior, whereas Financial Self-Efficacy and Emotional Intelligence have a positive and significant influence on Financial Management Behavior.
