Background. Cervical cancer is one of the most common types of cancer. In Indonesia, cervical cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths, with approximately 36,000 new cases per year and more than 20,000 deaths. There were 594 cases in 2022 and 508 cases in 2023 at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan. There were also recorded cases in women under 40 years old, with 84 cases in 2022 and 83 cases in 2023. Sexual activity at a young age, changing sexual partners, smoking habits, multiparity, and long-term use of hormonal contraception are risk factors for the occurrence of cervical cancer. The aim of this study is to analyze the risk factors for cervical cancer occurrence in women under the age of 40. Research Method. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. The population consists of patients diagnosed with cervical cancer at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan during the year 2024. The sample was taken using the purposive sampling method according to the inclusion criteria. Data were collected through medical record data, then analyzed using Chi-square tests and logistic regression. Research Results. There is a significant relationship, namely the age of sexual/marital activity (aOR=6.6; p<0.01) and the number of sexual partners (OR=4; p=0.009) with the incidence of cervical cancer in women under 40 years old. Meanwhile, there is no relationship between the number of parities, the use of oral contraceptives, smoking behavior, history of STIs, and immune disorders (HIV) with the incidence of cervical cancer in women under 40 years old. Conclusion. The age of sexual/marital activity and the number of sexual partners are related to the incidence of cervical cancer in women under 40 years old. The age of sexual/marital activity is the dominant factor influencing this.en_US
