This research aims to design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX)
for the mobile application EcoRoute as an electric-based online transportation
platform. The research background is driven by the increasing awareness of the
negative impacts of conventional transportation on the environment, such as carbon
emissions and air pollution. With the EcoRoute application, it is expected to be an
innovative solution that facilitates users in finding and using more environmentally
friendly transportation options, such as electric taxis, electric motorbike services,
electric scooters, and electric bicycles, and providing estimated carbon emission
information and efficient route recommendations. This research implements the
Design Thinking method, encompassing the stages of empathize, define, ideate,
prototype, and test. This approach is used to deeply understand the needs and
preferences of potential users and design user-centered design solutions. The expected
outcome of this research is a mobile application design with a user-friendly, intuitive
interface, and optimal user experience. This design is expected to facilitate users in
the process of ordering electric vehicles, effectively presenting environmental
information, and encouraging the selection of sustainable routes and modes of
transportation.
