    Abstract
This research is entitled “Interpersonal Communication of Green Volunteers in Public Relations and IT in the Implementation of PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024”. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of the research is to analyze interpersonal communication of green volunteers in public relations and IT in reducing uncertainty and supporting the implementation of green volunteer duties at PON XXI Aceh- North Sumatra 2024. The theory used is Interpersonal Communication proposed by Joseph A. Devito and Uncertainty Reduction Theory by Charles Berger. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observations. The number of informants in the research was six informants, consisting of four main informants, one additional informant and one triangulation informant. The results of the research indicate that interpersonal communication of green volunteers in public relations and IT at PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024 is based on humanistic aspects according to Joseph A. Devito (2011), namely openness, positive attitudes, empathy, mutual support and equality that improve performance and good relationships between fellow volunteers. In addition, based on the Uncertainty Reduction Theory by Charles Berger, informants in this research used passive, active and interactive strategies to build relationships with fellow volunteers and adapt to the new work environment.
