Analysis of Inorganic Liquid Fertilizer with Amino Acid Addition on the Growth of Mustard Greens (Brassica juncea L.)
Abstract
Analysis of liquid inorganic fertilizer with the addition of amino acids on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) has been conducted. This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in the addition of amino acids to liquid inorganic fertilizers on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.), and evaluate the compliance of nitrogen (N) and potassium (K) nutrient content in fertilizer formulations with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 02-6681-2002. The research was conducted using a nonfactorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments, namely control without fertilizer, comparison fertilizer (commercial), and liquid inorganic fertilizer formulation with the addition of amino acids as much as 2 mL, 4 mL, and 6 mL. The main parameters observed included N and K content in the fertilizer, as well as plant growth based on the number of leaves, plant height, and wet weight. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the treatment with the addition of 6 mL of amino acids gave a significant increase in nitrogen (6.31%) and potassium (3.45%) content in the fertilizer, and supported the growth of mustard greens optimally compared to other treatments. The formulation of liquid inorganic fertilizer with the addition of amino acids were also proven to be able to improve soil chemical properties and meet the quality standards of liquid fertilizer according to SNI 02-6681-2002.
