Prosedur Lelang atas Emas dalam Program Cicilan di Pegadaian Medan Utama sebagai Konsekuensi Gagal Bayar

Abstract

This research aims to understand the Auction Procedure For Gold Under The Cicilan Emas (Gold Installment) Program at Pegadaia Medan Utama as a consequence of payment default. Cicil Emas is a gold installment financing service that offers an easy and flexible method of gold investment, providing a secure alternative for the public. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with direct observation conducted over a two-month internship period at PT Pegadaian. The study focuses on observing the implementation of auction procedures carried out when a customer fails to complete their installment payments according to the agreed terms. The findings indicate that the auction procedure begins with issuing a warning to the customer, followed by the blocking of the installment account, revaluation of the collateral, announcement of the auction schedule, and the official execution of the auction by Pegadaian. The entire process is carried out in accordance with the company’s internal policies and applicable laws and regulations. This research is expected to provide better insight for the public and stakeholders regarding the resolution mechanism for defaults in the Cicil Emas financing program through the auction process.
