This study aims to analyze the diversity of Passeriformes birds in the lowland forests of Mursala Island by calculating species diversity indices, species richness, and relative abundance. Data collection was conducted using the point count method along transect lines, recording the species and number of individual birds. The study recorded 21 Passeriformes bird species from 13 families. The Shannon Wiener diversity index (H') for Transect 1 was 2.06 and for Transect 2 was 2.60, both falling into the moderate category. The Margalef species richness index (R) was 2.88 for Transect 1 and 4.67 for Transect 2, indicating relatively high species richness, particularly in Transect 2. The most dominant species were Orange bellied Flowerpecker (Dicaeum trigonostigma), Dicrurus annectens (Crow-billed Drongo), Gracula religiosa (Common Hill Myna) with a proportion of 18.75% on Transect 1, and the Puff-backed Bulbul (Pycnonotus plumosus) with a proportion of 23.68% on Transect 2.en_US
