Design of System Information for Quality Control of Tapioca Flour Based on Blockchain at PT. Hutahaean Pabrik Tapioka
Abstract
Companies in maintaining their company's existence must be able to compete by producing products with appropriate quality standards. Quality standards are closely related to product quality. The problem that occurs is that the company in controlling the quality of tapioca flour is still not in accordance with consumer demand. The quality of tapioca flour is influenced by the quality of the sweet potato raw materials used and the quality of the processing process. The quality of the final product that is not in accordance with the wishes of consumers leads to a decrease in trustworthiness towards the company. The purpose of this study is to create an information system for quality control based on blockchain technology that is transparent, secure, traceable, and centralized. The system can be used to control the quality of raw materials and ensure that the processed raw materials are in the best condition and ensure that every processing process is carried out in accordance with SOPs. The system is expected to increase consumer trustworthiness towards tapioca flour products because blockchain technology gives consumers confidence that the products they get are in accordance with the data in the blockchain system. The system is designed with a use case diagram, activity diagram, class diagram and flowchart of Program Algorithm Design. The programming language used to create blockchain technology is JAVA. Actors consist of suppliers/farmers, raw material receipt admins, processing admins, management admins, and consumers. The blockchain system is designed to be tailored to the circumstances, so it is expected to be able to make the system beneficial for companies.
