dc.description.abstractThis study is motivated by the critical role of leader-member exchange (LMX) quality in enhancing employee performance at PT Bank KB Bukopin Sharia, especially amid competition in the Islamic banking industry. The purpose of this research is to examine the extent to which LMX influences employee performance. An explanatory design with a quantitative approach was employed. The sample comprised 214 permanent employees from 19 branches, selected using a quota sampling technique. Data were collected through the Leader-Member Exchange-Multidimensionality Measure (LMX-MDM), questionnaire and the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ), both of which have been validated for reliability and validity. Analyses included descriptive statistics, normality testing, linearity testing, and simple linear regression to determine the effect of LMX on employee performance. The results indicate that the majority of respondents fall into high-LMX and high-performance categories. Regression analysis revealed a significant positive of LMX on performance. These finding confirm that improvements in affect, contribution, loyalty, and professional respect between supervisors and subordinates substantially drive employee performance.en_US
