Figura Bahasa dalam Lagu-Lagu Pilihan Lisa

Abstract

Background: This study discusses the types of figures of speech used in Lisa's song lyrics and identifies the most dominant among them. Objective: The purpose of this research is to describe the various figures of speech found in Lisa's lyrics and to explain their meanings, so they may be used as references for literary appreciation and English language learning through songs. Method: This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected from selected Lisa songs based on their popularity. Data collection techniques include documentation, active listening, transcription, identification, classification, and interpretation of the figures of speech within the lyrical context. Result: The analysis reveals that the figures of speech found in Lisa’s lyrics include metaphor, simile, hyperbole, irony, and oxymoron, with metaphor being the most dominant. Conclusion: The use of figures of speech enriches the emotional and expressive power of Lisa’s lyrics, making them more impactful and meaningful, particularly in the context of literary studies and language learning.
