    Abstract
Language is a bridge in communication that is very much needed by every individual. Each individual has their own way of using language to convey information in certain situations or contexts. Misunderstandings often occur in communication. To prevent this from happening, a person must know and understand how to use words in communication that are appropriate to the situation and to whom they are speaking. Excessive information from what is intended violates the principle of conversational cooperation. Violation of the principle of conversational cooperation is sometimes very necessary in certain contexts. This can be called conversational implicature. Conversational implicature can also be said to be a meaning that is not expressed literally or directly in the sentence itself. Therefore, this study will discuss conversational implicature and the form of implicative speech in the film Bawang Puteh Bawang Merah by S. Roomai Noor with the limitation of the scope of the study to the main character's conversation only. This study uses a qualitative research method using descriptive research so that it gets the following results. There are 3 types of conversational implicatures, special conversational implicatures, general conversational implicatures and scaled conversational implicatures, so that 25 conversational data are grouped with 18 special conversational implicature data, 2 general conversational implicatures and 5 scaled conversational implicatures, with the form of speech in the form of declarative sentences, question sentences, command sentences, exclamation sentences, so that 40 conversational data found can be grouped as follows. 10 forms of declarative sentences, 15 forms of interogatif sentences, 13 forms of imperatif sentences, and 2 forms of interjektif sentences.
