Catfish (Pangasius pangasius) is one of the most widely cultivated fish species in Indonesia due to its high demand in both domestic and international markets. L-lysine is an essential amino acid that fish cannot synthesize on their own and must be obtained through feed. This study aims to evaluate the effect of L-lysine supplementation in commercial feed with different feeding rates on the growth and survival of catfish. The research was conducted from September to October 2023 using an experimental method with a factorial randomized block design (RBD). The study consisted of two factors: lysine levels (2%, 3%, and 4% per kg of feed) and feeding rates (3%, 4%, and 5%), each with three replications. The results showed that lysine supplementation in commercial feed significantly affected the feeding rate, which in turn influenced the growth and survival of catfish. The best result was observed in treatment A3F3 (4% lysine with 5% feeding rate), which produced the highest weight gain of 26.84 grams and a high survival rate of 90–100%, supported by adequate feed nutrients and water quality. Additionally, the most efficient feed utilization, indicated by the lowest feed conversion ratio (FCR) of 2.00, was achieved in treatment A3F1 (4% lysine with 3% feeding rate), suggesting that this combination was the most effective in promoting optimal growth and survival of catfish.en_US
