Reutilization Of Waste Heat Energy From Household Waste Incineration Using Themoelectric Generator
Abstract
Utilization of waste heat energy from burning household waste is one of the innovative solutions to support energy efficiency and waste management. This study aims to evaluate the potential for converting waste heat energy into electrical energy using a Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) module. The research method includes collecting waste heat temperature data from household-scale incinerators, designing a TEG-based conversion system, and testing system performance under operational conditions. The results show that the waste heat temperature ranges from 200-400°C, which can be optimized by the TEG module to generate electricity with a conversion efficiency of up to 5%. The generated electrical energy can be utilized for household needs such as LED lighting or charging electronic devices. The implementation of this technology not only provides benefits in the reutilization of wasted energy, but also supports the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and increased environmental awareness in the community. Thus, this system has the potential to be a sustainable solution in household waste management as well as diversifying energy sources.
