    Abstract
In the current modern era, the need for electricity energy has become a fundamental aspect of community life. In line with technological advancements, human activities increasingly depend on electronic devices, all of which require electricity as their primary energy source. Unbeknownst to many, the increasing number and frequency of electronic device usage are directly proportional to the amount of electricity costs that must be paid each month. This situation creates a source of unfairness in shared living environments, such as boarding houses, where residents often receive the same bill despite their varying electricity consumption. The main problem lies in the absence of a system capable of individually recording each resident's electricity usage. As a result, boarding house owners lack an objective basis to fairly distribute the billing burden between economical and high-consuming users. To address this challenge, a electricity consumption monitoring system is needed that can measure energy usage in real time and separately for each room. The proposed solution is an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system that utilizes the ESP8266 microcontroller module and the PZEM-004T sensor as the main devices for reading electrical parameters. Electricity usage data will be regularly recorded and stored in a server database. Users and boarding house owners can access this information through a website interface that displays graphical visualizations of energy consumption and billing details for each room. With this system, electricity payment distribution can be done fairly and transparently, while also encouraging energy efficiency.
