This research aims to design and implement an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient rice field rat repellent device using PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors and amplified ultrasonic waves, powered by solar panels. The system detects the movement of rats using a PIR sensor, which then activates an ultrasonic frequency generator operating at 50 kHz to emit sound that disrupts the rats’ hearing. Electrical energy is supplied by a 12V 10WP solar panel, stored in a 12V battery via a solar charge controller, and stepped down to power the system components. Test results show that the PIR sensor effectively detects rat movements up to 6 meters in open areas and 3 meters in planted fields, while the generated ultrasonic waves cause noticeable panic and disorientation in rats, especially within a 1–2 meter range. The system operates automatically and proves to be effective in repelling rats from rice fields, offering a modern, efficient, and sustainable solution for farmers in agricultural areas.en_US
