Nausea and vomiting are among the most common side effects of chemotherapy and significantly impact the quality of life in cancer patients. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of PC6 self-acupressure in reducing the intensity of nausea and vomiting among cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. A Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) design was employed, using a pretest–posttest control group approach with random assignment. The sample consisted of 66 respondents, randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group, with 33 participants in each. The level of nausea and vomiting was measured using the Rhodes Index for Nausea, Vomiting, and Retching (INVR). The results showed a significant reduction in nausea and vomiting scores in the intervention group after PC6 self-acupressure was performed (p = 0.000). An independent t-test revealed a significant difference between the control and intervention groups in post-test scores (p = 0.011). These findings indicate that PC6 self-acupressure is effective in reducing nausea and vomiting among cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
