    Abstract
An adhesive bridge is a fixed partial denture attached to the tooth structure, mainly to the enamel, which has been etched to obtain micro-mechanical retention of the luting material of the resin. The application of laser technology as a surface treatment on the metal surface of the adhesive bridge utilizes the heat energy of the laser beam to change the surface properties of the material. This study aims to determine the effect of different power and beam angles of 30°, 60°, and 90° diode laser on the surface of Ni-Cr metal on the shear bond strength of adhesive bridge. This type of research is experimental research laboratory with factorial experimental design. The samples of this study were 36 cylindrical Nickel Chromium (Ni-Cr) metal and 36 post-extraction maxillary premolars which were divided into 6 groups (n=6) based on the power and beam angle of laser diode irradiation. After treatment, the samples were evaluated using SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and AFM (Atomic Force Microscope). Meanwhile, shear bond strength testing was carried out using a UTM (Universal Testing Machine). Data was analyzed using ANOVA test, LSD test, and t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of 2.0-watt and 4.0 power with 30º, 60º and 90º diode laser beam angles on Ni-Cr metal on the shear bond strength of adhesive bridge with p<0.05). The 30º and 60º beam angles at 2.0-watt and 4.0-watt laser diode power had no effect on the shear bond strength of the adhesive bridge with p>0.05 while the 90º beam angle at 2.0-watt and 4.0-watt laser diode power had an effect on the shear bond strength of the adhesive bridge with p<0.05. It can be concluded that 2.0-watt laser diode power with beam angle of 30 ° and 4.0-watt laser diode power with beam angle of 90 °affecting the shear bond strength of adhesive bridge. It is recommended that further research be carried out regarding the shear bond strength of resin cement with other laser parameters according to time, distance, frequency and different type of laser on the adhesive bridge. It is hoped that this research can be an option for dentists, especially Prosthodontist to choose the right type and parameters of laser used to increase the bond strength of the adhesive bridge.
