    Abstract
Pangkalan Brandan is an area with great potential in the fisheries sector. The problem that occurs in Pangkalan Brandan is that fish from fishery resources that can be utilized are mostly thrown away without understanding that the fish still have value for making fishmeal. To reduce this, it is necessary to make fishmeal and analyze the quality of the fishmeal. The types of fish that are often found that can be used as fishmeal are peperek fish (Leoignathus equulus) and seriding fish (Ambassis nalua) at affordable prices. The study used qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods that showed that Pangkalan Brandan can contribute to the protein needs of 1,171 ducks. Meanwhile, the number of laying ducks at Pangkalan Brandan in 2023 is 23,129. This study used peperek fish (Leoignathus equilus) and seriding fish (Ambasssis nalua) with a percentage of the increase obtained peperek fish (Leoignathus equilus) by 22.91%, and seriding fish (Ambasssis nalua) by 20.76%. Proximity test results of 250 grams of peperek fish (Leoignathus equilus) produced 56.0% of protein and seriding fish (Ambassis nalua) produced 53.9% of protein that meets Indonesian National Standard No. 01-2715-2013.
