Fatigue that occurs is characterized by the weakening of workers in doing a job or
activity, so that it can cause errors in doing work or activities while working. The
general objective of this study is to analyze what are the factors associated with
Work Fatigue in Cleaning Service at Tk IV 01.07.01 Hospital Pematangsiantar
City. The method in this study was quantitative conducted with an observational
analytic approach using a cross sectional design. The sampling technique is Total
Sampling where the sample size is 30 workers. Work fatigue data was taken using
a 6027 reaction timer, intensity and duration of physical and mental workload were
measured using the %CVL and NASA TLX questionnaires, health conditions were
measured using questionnaire questions and nutritional status was measured using
Body Mass Index. The work fatigue experienced by cleaning services found that
work fatigue with mild results was obtained by 7 respondents, moderate with the
results of 4 respondents and the category of severe fatigue was obtained by 19
respondents. Most worryingly, 17 respondents 56.7% fell into the not allowed to do
activities category, the very high category, with 17 respondents 56.7%, indicating
that more than half of the respondents experienced heavy mental workload, 19
respondents 63.3% reported health problems and 10 respondents 33.3% fell into
the obese category, indicating overweight. Data analysis was performed using the
spearman correlation statistical test with a p-value <0.05. the results showed that
there was a associated between the intensity and duration of physical and mental
workload, health conditions and no associated between nutritional status and work
fatigue. it is recommended that the hospital regulate employee workload
proportionally. Implementation of task rotation, providing adequate rest time, and
setting work targets.
