The Main Characters in Movie (2024): Venom The Last Dance

Abstract

Background: Film is an art form that not only entertains but also conveys moral and social messages through its characters. The film "Venom: The Last Dance" (2024) tells the story of the main character's journey as he struggles between good and evil, and the impact of his choices. Objective: This study aims to identify and describe the development of the main characters in the film "Venom: The Last Dance" within the context of the moral and social themes raised. Method: This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The primary data sources were taken from the film "Venom: The Last Dance" (2024) and text analysis of film reviews. Data were collected through observation techniques and content documentation to identify the characteristics and development of the main characters in the film. Results: The results of the study indicate that the main character, Venom, undergoes a significant transformation throughout the film, reflecting the theme of the duality between good and evil. He plays a crucial role in reinforcing moral messages, such as the importance of friendship, sacrifice, and responsibility. Conclusion: The film “Venom: The Last Dance” not only delivers action and entertainment, but also offers a deep reflection on character and the importance of understanding the consequences of every action.
