dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT
The need for infrastructure continues to increase along with population growth and
economic development, where building construction is one example, ranging from
simple residences to high-rise buildings. The building requires walls as the main
structural element that limits the space, providing privacy, security, and protection
from the elements. This automatically increases the need for wall materials such as
bricks. The rise of development has caused the availability and production of bricks
to be crucial to meet the growing market demand. Over time, the materials in wall
work continue to give rise to a diversity of types with their own disadvantages and
advantages, in terms of cost and time of work, for example such as red bricks and
light bricks. This study aims to analyze the difference in construction cost and time
caused by the change of wall material from red brick to light brick in the
revitalization project of the Kebun Bunga Stadium Complex. The quantitative
method of construction is used as a reference, by comparing the total cost and
completion time of each material. The results of the analysis from the management
of the cost budget, unit price of work and bill of quantities show that the use of red
bricks results in a total cost of IDR. 191.639.270,53 with a duration of 70 days.
Meanwhile, the use of light bricks resulted in a cost of IDR. 170.985.141,283 but
with a settlement time of only 26 days. Where the cost of using light bricks is
cheaper around 10,7%, significant time efficiency reaches 62,852%. A
comprehensive evaluation shows that replacing materials with lightweight bricks
provides both cost and time benefits that have the potential to increase productivity
and accelerate the implementation of construction projects. | en_US |
