    Abstract
    Background: Manual patient registration methods in hospitals have been running systematically. However, along with the times and advances in digital technology, the need for a more modern and efficient system is becoming increasingly important. The utilization of information technology in the patient registration process can be an indicator of the efficiency and quality of service of a hospital. Objective: This study aims to design a website-based online patient registration system at the University of North Sumatra Dental and Oral Hospital to improve administrative efficiency, reduce physical queues, facilitate access for patients and officers, and support digital transformation in hospital services. Methods: This research uses a web-based system development approach as a medium for providing information services and online patient registration. On the user interface side (front end), the system was built using React.js with the support of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for display settings. Meanwhile, on the server side (back end), Node.js is used as the main technology in managing data and system logic. Results: The developed system is able to speed up and simplify the patient registration process, both in terms of prospective patients and hospital administration officers. The implementation of this system provides easy access, time efficiency, and increased accuracy in managing registration data. Conclusion: The implementation of a website-based online patient registration system at RSGM USU has successfully improved the efficiency of administrative services. By utilizing React.js, CSS, and Node.js, this system simplifies the registration process for patients and officers, and supports digital transformation in hospital services.
