This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and self-regulated learning in students at SMP IT Perguruan Baiti Jannati. Emotional regulation, as a fundamental ability in managing feelings, plays a crucial role amidst learning demands that emphasize student learning independence. The study involved 42 students of SMP IT Perguruan Baiti Jannati as a sample. Data were collected using a psychological scale that measures emotional regulation and students' self-regulated learning. The results of the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between cognitive reappraisal strategies and self-regulated learning (p = 0.003; r = 0.448). In contrast, the expressive suppression strategy did not show a significant relationship with self-regulated learning (p = 0.851; r = 0.030). This indicates that students regulate their emotions while studying by diverting their thoughts to stay focused, supporting their adaptive self-regulated learning.en_US
